This last week at Camp Jessica I gave the kids a paper bag and each a marker and a list. Each list had the same items on them. I told the kids we had to go on a nature scavenger hunt. We went out to many parks in our beautiful town of eugene and explored what mother nature has blessed us with.
As we spent many hours all over eugene we ended up finding some pretty amazing things! What a great way to spend a whole day and the kids LOVED IT!

Im Bored!!!
IM BORED!
two words that I was hearing a lot around "Camp Jessica"
so we made this !
we took construction paper and made a list of things to do.
some examples are :
*painting
*Building a fort
* Bubbles
*play outside
* Bug catching
then we drew a picture that represented the task
and decorated an apple sauce jar that was in the recycling and
WaLLA! Its the "Im bored jar"
how it works is whenever a child says im bored they can go to the jar pull one thing out and that is the task they complete. My personal rule was they couldnt put it back in and choose a different one. They could only draw another task if they completed it or if we had it planed later in the day.
ENJOY!!!!

Camp Jessica
Camp Jessica Activity!
Learning How Rhyme
Little Miss Berry was talking about rhyming words yesterday so I got on my favorite website pinterest and found an idea. It talked about popsicle rhyming words so I was on a hunt. We went outside and found 4 plant boxes and then I found some stickers and we made this! The kids loved it and kept them entertained for a good 45 minutes. They then decided to make thier own list of rhyming words. We extended thier learning by going outside and finding things that rhyme in mother nature.
Happy Rhyming !
Welcome
Welcome to my blog !
I have been told by many that I should make a blog about all my curriculum ideas and share whats going on in my classroom. So here I am ready to share and inspire :)A little about me :
My name is Jessica, Im 24 years old. Im a teacher during the school year and a nanny during the summer. I have been teaching in a classroom setting since I was 19 years old and have been babysitting and childcare since I was 15. Im obsessed with crafting. I would rather craft something unique and special than to go buy it already made. I really love Pinterest. I get a lot of Ideas from there and then change them up a bit to fit the children I am working with. I would love for this blog to not only be me sharing to all of you but you sharing with me. As a teacher we never stop learning. I have a lot of mommy friends to and so I want this page to be shared with many not just teachers but parents as well because as an educator we all know parents are the first teachers . I hope you enjoy !
Happy Blogging
xoxo
Jessica
